Hierarchies are displayed and organized by category in a triptych in Vireo.
When the triptych is collapsed, the circled numbers next to an organization name indicates how many related children are attached to that organization. When created, the children will have the same settings as the parent record.
In the example below, we see that the parent College B has 3 child organizations related to it.
Clicking on College B will open up the second pane of the triptych where the child organizations can be seen.
When created, each of the degrees had settings which were identical to College B. Replicating a parent record ensures consistency makes it easier to create new workflows. Once created, the child organizations can be edited to create their own unique workflows.
We can expand the third pane of the triptych by clicking on M.S. Thesis which has two related child organizations.
The Biology and Business Major organizations shared the same settings as the M.S. Thesis when created. You can continue to add child records to Biology or Business and so on, but only the last 3 levels of the hierarchy can be displayed.
