Texas Digital Library has installed the DSpace 7 as a demo installation for member testing and exploration.

DSpace 7 Demo Repository

TDL members may set up a user account to test and train in the site.

How to set up a user account

Register an account. Go to DSpace Repository :: Home and click Login in the upper right corner of the screen. Then click “New User? Click here to register.” and provide your email address. You’ll have to verify your email and then create a password.

Ask TDL to make you an Admin in the site. Email the TDL Helpdesk at support@tdl.org and let us know you’ve created an account in the DSpace 7 Demo site and would like to be made an Administrator.

Reporting Bugs

If you find something that’s not working correctly or behaving weirdly in the site, you can submit those as bug reports directly to the DSpace programmers via GitHub. There is a template in place for bugs and another for feature requests, and those automatically get moved to the DSpace triage board: https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/issues/new/choose

The DSpace Tech Lead triages issues submitted by testers based on severity, putting critical bugs into the current beta and other bugs into later releases.

Please do not submit bug reports related to features that haven’t been developed yet! The developers know that those features aren’t working.

You’ll need to setup a free Github account to submit bug reports or feature requests.
