DSpace 8.2+ upgrade
Order of Upgrades
TDL will upgrade its hosted repositories to DSpace version 8.2 in October 2025.
We are not able (for now) to provide a precise date on which each repository will be upgraded. We anticipate concluding the upgrades by Oct 31, 2025.

About the Upgrade
This will be a minor upgrade with minimal downtime and disruption.
You can see the list of fixes in the 8.2 release notes.
Please note that with this upgrade, the default view on Community and Sub-community pages will change back to showing the list of Sub-communities and Collections, rather than showing a list of search results. This will return those pages to their behavior pre-DSpace 8. However, this default is configurable, so if you wish to keep the current default view (i.e. the list of “Search Results”), please let me and Nick Woodward know asap.
Upgrade process:
Upgrades will take place between 5:00 and 6:00 pm CT each day.
During the upgrade, the repository will be down for 2 minutes or less.
TDL will generate a helpdesk ticket on the day your upgrade is performed to notify you and keep you updated.
No extensive testing is required.
