Web Accessibility Toolkit

Web Accessibility Toolkit

About this Toolkit

This toolkit is designed to support journal managers and editors using Open Journal Systems (OJS) in creating accessible websites and journal content. It includes guidance on web accessibility laws and standards, best practices for designing accessible OJS websites, suggested policies and guidance for accessible manuscript preparation, and recommended resources and evaluation tools.

While we recommend reading through the toolkit in its entirety on your first visit to understand the full scope of accessibility considerations, the content is organized by topic and journal role to make it easy to revisit specific sections. Whether you're setting up your journal’s website, working with authors on manuscript submissions, or managing editorial workflows, you can jump directly to the relevant guidance, checklists, and templates as needed.

The toolkit was drafted by members of the TDL OJS Accessibility Working Group.
