This list describes where a user can expect to see noticeable differences between Vireo 3 and 4.

General

  • New features

    • Controlled vocabularies

    • Multiple, configurable student submission workflows based on organizational hierarchies

  • Streamlined and condensed settings interface

  • Calendar is now a faceted function

Log Tab

Log Tab showed every action taken on every record.

Master Log removed, but actions are still viewable on the View tab for an individual ETD record.

    • Controlled Vocabulary Management (NEW)

      • Includes Available Colleges, Available Programs, Available Departments, Available Administrative Groups, Available Majors, Available Degrees from Vireo 3 alongside other controlled vocabularies

      • Note that Available Degrees, Graduation Months, Languages, Default Embargoes and ProQuest Embargoes are only editable in their own Workflow Management setting sections.
