2010 Annual Meeting, May

On May 19, 2010, the Vireo Users Group met in Austin, Texas at the PCL on the University of Texas at Austin Campus. The meeting was led by Laura Hammons and Jason Thomale. A total of 25 individuals, representing eight institutions and Texas Digital Library staff, was in attendance.

Summary:

The purpose of this inaugural meeting was

  • to introduce current and potential Vireo users to the purpose of a users group

  • to explain the structure of the VUG and describe member involvement

  • to understand the history, present, and future state of Vireo development

  • to introduce members to the current user base, addressing unique institutional characteristics and needs

  • to discuss the process for requesting, prioritizing, and presenting feature requests, and likewise, to clarify the process for reporting Vireo bugs
