Batch Update Status

Vireo gives administrative users the capability to update the status of multiple records at once using Batch Update Status.

To use this feature, a user must first filter the List to include the set of ETDs to be updated. Then follow these steps:

1) Click BATCH UPDATE STATUS, located under Advanced Features in the bottom left corner of the List screen.

2) A popup window will appear.

In the popup window, choose the new status for the current set of ETDs in the List and click UPDATE STATUSES. A validation will appear asking the user to confirm the selection. Click the validation. Vireo will notify the user when the operation has been completed.

If a user chooses PUBLISHED as the new status for the batch of ETDs, the popup window will ask for the Deposit Location (i.e. the destination repository) for the published theses or dissertations. Select from the dropdown list of Deposit Location options (configured in Application Settings) and click BATCH PUBLISH.
