Looker Studio: Glossary of Metrics and Dimensions
Browser: A computer program with a graphical user interface that allows users to navigate between web pages. Our TDR Dashboard allows you to filter by browser.
Select Date Range: Allows you to explore metrics and dimensions in the TDR Dashboard by selecting a range of dates.
Page Title and Screen Class: This is the title of a web page as seen on a website and the screen class from a mobile app. You can filter this in our dashboard to view metrics and dimensions based on certain page titles and screen class.
Page title derives from the <title> tag in your HTML and screen class derives from the class name of the UIViewController or Activity that is currently in focus.
Device Category: The piece of equipment used to access the TDR website. This can be desktop, mobile, or tablet.
Views: The set of specifications for tracking traffic on the TDR website.
Total Users: Total number of users who logged an event on the TDR website.
New Users: Number of users who interacted with the TDR website for the first time.
Active Users: This is the primary user metric in Google Analytics 4. This is the number of distinct users who visited the TDR website and had an engaged session or the first_visit event or engagement_time_msec parameter from the TDR website.
1-Day Active User: Visited the TDR website based on the above parameters in the past day based on the selected date range.
7-Day Active User: Visited the TDR website based on the above parameters in the past 7 days based on the selected date range.
28-Day Active User: Visited the TDR website based on the above parameters in the past 28 days based on the selected date range.
Session: The number of sessions that began on the TDR website.
Session Source: Where traffic to the TDR website is coming from.
Engaged Sessions: The number of sessions that lasted 10 seconds or longer or had 1 or more conversion events or 2 or more page or screen views.
Sessions per User: The average number of sessions per user.
Engagement Rate: The percentage of sessions that were engaged sessions. Can be calculated by engaged sessions/total sessions.
User Engagement: The amount of time a user spends on a TDR webpage in focus.
Event Count: The number of times an event, or group of events, were triggered.
