Managing Processes

Processes are a new feature of DSpace 7 that allows administrative users to run scripts for curation tasks from the admin user interface instead of from the command line.  

 

  • Log in to Repository 

  • Navigate to the Processes submenu 

  • You will then see the Processes Overview page with a list of all processes run by users in your repository 

  • To create a new process, click the green + New button in the upper right corner 

  • Select the script you would like to run from the dropdown menu 

  • Some of the scripts correspond to processes that can run from different parts of the admin UI, such as metadata-export, metadata-import, export, and import.  

  • Depending on which script you select, different parameters will appear.  

  • Once you click Save, the page will redirect to the Process Overview screen. If the status reads RUNNING, you may have to refresh the page. Once the script has run, the status will change to FAILED if the process was not successful, or COMPLETED if it was.
