ORCID Settings

Purpose

An ORCID ID is a persistent digital identifier that distinguishes researchers from others.  It is self-managed and supports automatic links among a researchers activities.  For more information, see https://orcid.org

Since an ETD may be the first scholarly work for a researcher, establishing an ORCID ID is a logical option during submission. If desired, institutions may choose to collect ORCID Identifiers with ETD submissions and the settings should be adjusted accordingly.  If ORCID IDs will not be collected, the ORCID field in the submission workflow will be deactivated and the settings will not be applicable.
