Batch Export Metadata
Login to Repository Â
Move the cursor over the symbol of a document with an arrow pointing to the right of it at the upper left-hand corner of the screen and left-clickÂ
Select the Metadata optionÂ
Use the pop-up search bar or scroll through the list to select the collection you want to exportÂ
Once you select a collection, a confirmation pop-up will ask you to confirm your selection by clicking Cancel or ExportÂ
After you click Export, the screen will redirect to the Process status pageÂ
You may have to refresh the page to see the Status change from RUNNING to COMPLETEDÂ
Once the process has completed, a link to a downloadable .csv output file will become available on the screenÂ
Choose where you want to save the .csv file on your computerÂ
Note: You may want to rename the exported .csv to correspond to the collection. Each time you batch export collection metadata, the default file name will be machine generated.Â
The .log file contains information on the export process. This may be beneficial for troubleshooting in case the process fails.Â
The downloaded .csv file will contain item level metadata for the objects in the collection. These fields and values can be edited and reimported to make batch changes to item metadata. See the Batch Import Metadata documentation for those instructions. Â
